On 14-15 November 2013, the 4th edition of   BALKAN VENTURE FORUM (BkVF) took place in Tirana, Albania.

The Balkan Venture Forums (BkVF) play an active role in supporting Balkan-based entrepreneurs to connect with international investors and business partners. This time the investment forum took place in Tirana and was showcasing businesses from Albania and the rest of the region. The main attraction of the Forum was the Top 30 companies from Albania and Balkans that have been selected to pitch their business.

The Balkan Venture Forum
in brief:
  • 30 pre-selected startups pitching their technology and business ideas to a panel of specialists
  • Animated industry speakers covering trends and market opportunities on topics such as mobile, gaming, customer development, internationalization
  • A half-day coaching session preparing these 30 presenters for their live investor pitch
  • Pre-arranged One2one meetings between entrepreneurs and investors
  • Exhibition space, networking meetings and dinners and a great party

Balkan Venture Forum in Tirana is one of the main objectives of the SEE Programme project VIBE (Venture Initiative in Balkan Europe) and is being co-financed by European Union. VIBE is a regional eco-system accelerator that takes on the challenge of developing the innovation and entrepreneurship system in the SEE. It does this through high-impact actions that enable a key financing process for innovation and entrepreneurship, which is crucial to the development of a knowledge-based economy in the SEE region.
