DataForHealth 2017 will take place on 17-18 May 2017 in Antwerp, bringing together investors, entrepreneurs, corporations, government representatives and advisors from all over Europe, to look at innovative converging solutions using digital data, healthtech and insurtech technologies and models that will improve patient outcomes and/or health care costs. The event will be a unique mix of presentations, reverse pitches, use case challenges, fireside chats, keynote speeches, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Data4Health will emphasize on the convergence between the needs of the following sectors:

  • Health
  • Data
  • Insurance

30+ of the best European companies, offering converging solutions in the above sectors will be pre-selected to present at the event by the investors and corporates of the expert committee. The applying companies will be assessed on the basis of their business potential, product and technology merit, competitive position, investment or partnering interest, team experience and project quality. DataForHealth (DFH) will allow entrepreneurs to meet and present themselves to active international stakeholders, investors and corporations.

Moreover, the event will focus on use cases, which will give entrepreneurs the opportunity to understand the real needs of the industry. Stakeholders will be reverse pitching to startups with their therapeutic /geographical area/ investment needs as challenges (use cases), which entrepreneurs will be challenged to solve.

"New technologies such as data-analytics, blockchain and internet of things are digitally transforming both the insurance and the healthcare industries. We believe new synergies and collaboration possibilities will arise as a result of this and want to provide a platform for these collaborative innovations"
Wim de Waele, CEO, B-Hive

“Data and Data Science are probably the biggest growth areas in healthcare all-up. The fact that current technologies allow massive datasets to be analyzed at high speed enables tons of new scenarios. We are more than happy to support Data4Health as it brings together exactly these kind of organizations. As an ecosystem around healthcare and entrepreneurship, we focus on supporting entrepreneurs to get to the next level of growth. Collaborating with other ecosystems active in this area is of paramount importance” Tom Braekeleirs, Director at BlueHealth Innovation Center
