In addition, our service package containing i.a., reception, IT, meeting rooms, social environment and much more is an important basic function. Furthermore, we offer our tenants guidance in business development, finance / accounting, projects etc. Finally, our many networks and projects provide great value to the tenants in our incubator environments in both Foulum and Skejby.

Innovation Network for Biomass

Innovation Network for Biomass

The purpose of INBIOM is to be a catalyst for innovation and development of new, sustainable biomass-based technologies and companies and ensure that Denmark stays in the lead within the field of bioeconomy. In practice this means that the focus areas for us are production, pre-treatment, separation, and conversion of biomass. Realisation of the potential in the biobased economy very much depends on more knowledge of the biomass itself and how the different components such as carbohydrates, proteins and other valuable elements are produced, separated and processed optimally. INBIOM includes innovation within all types of biomass; green (grasses, crops), yellow (straw), brown (wood), blue (algae, seaweed), and grey (livestock manure, organic waste). The main focus is to create as many and valuable streams as possible through existing and new value chains and make products of the highest possible value out of the biomass. Another priority is to improve the utilisation and nutrient recirculation in low value biomass and waste from industry, agriculture and communities.

Viborg Municipality

Viborg Municipality

Viborg Municipality is one of Denmark's largest agricultural municipalities. A significant number of companies and jobs in Viborg Municipality are directly or indirectly related to agriculture, including the production of agricultural machinery, knowledge and technology, food and service industry. Furthermore Viborg Municipality is home to Agro Business Park and Aarhus University’s department in Foulum, where most of Aarhus University’s research into food, agriculture and bioeconomy is carried out. Viborg Municipality has a double interest in contributing to new development and business opportunities for the agricultural sector and at the same time contributing to more climate and environmentally friendly solutions. Bioeconomy is an important part of the answer on how to create new business opportunities and more climate friendly solutions at the same time. Therefore, Viborg Municipality is an active part of and supports various activities that contribute to the development of the bioeconomy. European BioEconomy Venture Forum is one of these activities and Viborg Municipality is proud to be the meeting place for new solutions, companies and potential investors.
