Tech Tour today announces Russia’s fastest growing tech companies chosen to present to a group of leading international investors, VCs, corporate partners and business angels at the 2017 Russian Tech Tour in Moscow and Kazan.

Over 100 companies from across Russia applied to present their businesses at the 2017 Russian Tech Tour with 25 selected. The majority of companies are based in Moscow (60%) and Kazan (20%), and the Russian Tech Tour will visit both cities to showcase them as growing technological hubs. Russia’s technological development is reflected in the companies chosen to present, with 32% in ICT, 28% in the industry, oil and gas sectors, 16% in cleantech and the rest in fintech, healthtech, aerospace, and materials. Over 40% of the presenting companies already have 15 or more employees and many are expected to raise investments with round sizes ranging from EUR 800,000 to EUR 5 million.

Pavel Korolev, CEO of Pulsar Venture Capital and President of the 4th edition, speaking about the companies presented this year: "Usually there are more IT-focused companies at such events, but we are now seeing more science-focused and "heavy" fields related to cleantech, materials and aerospace. We reflected these changes when selecting the companies to present. The 4th Russian Tech Tour is not just a meeting of investors and major venture funds, but it is a real test for our venture market, allowing us to evaluate results from the last 4 years and give start to the new technical champions of the international market."
