The prestigious 8th edition of the Cleantech Summit 2018 is about to make Rotterdam into the investment capital of Europe on 22 November. The event is focused on Energy Transition and showcases the best investment opportunities within the Cleantech industry in Europe. It is traditionally hosted by the City of Rotterdam and organised by Tech Tour and will take place at RDM Rotterdam.

 

The Cleantech Summit 2018 will join forces with the Business Forum Rotterdam on 22 November and join the official VIP delegation led by the President of Singapore Halimah Yacob and King Willem-Alexander. The delegation is comprised of 125 senior policy and business leaders from Singapore and the Netherlands and will feature a speech by the Mayor of Rotterdam Ahmed Aboutaleb and HRH Constantijn van Oranje as special start-up envoy of the Netherlands at StartupDelta will close the joint programmes of the Cleantech Summit and Business Forum Rotterdam. The plenary session will cover the themes: Different History, Common ‘clean’ challenges, Boosting FDI in a time of geopolitical uncertainty, and Business needs: how can governments support ‘clean’ businesses.

To meet this challenge, we quickly need to invest in accelerating cleantech innovations and professionalize tech transfer, before it's too late. The Summit programme features insight from successful industry experts and thought leaders and revolves around 4 technology sectors: Energy Transition (generation, storage, infrastructure, efficiency); Smart cities and Mobility; Maritime and Offshore; Industry. The agenda includes 30 scale-up company presentations by CEOs, discussion panels, keynotes and top-level networking. A fireside chat featuring General Fusion, Oxford, sonnen, Heliatek and New Motion will enlighten the audience about how to become a successful start-up. Another 150 VIP guests will represent the “Who's Who” of the Cleantech and Venture Capital market, including top executives from blue-chip technology companies, international venture capitalists, investment bankers, specialized press, service providers and advisers coming from all around the world.

 

Cleantech Summit Media representatives will receive priority access to tech company CEOs and investors at the Summit for editorial staff on the 22nd of November, with the opportunity to set up interviews with speakers, and complimentary access to all sessions.
